Author's Note: This is my first slash fic EVER. I'm super proud with how it came out after my good buddy Patches helped me beta it. Give her a big round of applause for helping me fix it up! Writing for Fry and Bender was loads of fun. People always ask what happened to freedom of speech, but the more important question is- what happened to common sense? ~ Me.
"I support stating my opinion."~ In-The-Machine.
Writing always takes practice, so to answer your question, it was probably a bit of practice, and maybe, a bit of talent that people say I have when it comes to writing. The truth is, it's not really a process of me just sitting down and working on extended metaphors everyday like math sums, it's more of a case of learning this knowledge through reading other people's writings and books, and applying this knowledge the best way that I can. Sometimes, it might not turn out well, so you just keep going at it in different ways, while receiving feedback from those who read your works. For me, extended metaphors didn't feel too hard for me to apply, but I definitely know that other parts of writing trouble me from now and then. It is really up to the determination of the writer to succeed in writing about certain aspects and now and then, a little bit of intuition.
As they say, writing is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration, so in conclusion, practice makes perfect!
